Looks as if the bee saw what happened to its colleague just in time to scoot out of the way. (I never realised borage was carnivorous)

No, borage is certainly not carnivorous and yes, it was (sort of) a chance shot - I was following that particular bee and whenever it was in focus it got clicked. I'm really happy that you all liked it though.
