A Tube Family: 6CS7, 6189 & 6AK5
Still working on photographing / documenting vacuum tubes (valves in British English).
Here's a shot of a small family - dad, mum & child in an attempt to illustrate the three types of tubes: the 6CS7, the 6189 & the 6AK5.
The 6CS7 was made by American Tung-Sol & the & 6AK5 is by Mullard, UK, 1954, branded as 'Philips Miniwatt', marked 6A5K on one side and EF95 on the other.
The 6CS7 tube is for the input stage of a Leben CS-600 CS-600.
The 6AK5 for a Yamamoto Sound Craft CA-04Line level preamplifier.
And the 6189 (European designation ECC82) from an Audio Note UK preamplifier I sold to buy get a Leben RS30-EQ RIAA.
