Vale of Venford

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”

A beautiful image Phil, with an original composition for this type of scene. I have been around the Venford Reservoir a few times on family holidays, but have not yet ventured up the little creeks and streams, but you have inspired me to do so at the next opportunity.

Thanks very much for your considered and encouraging words McGregNi It is a beautiful stretch of water below the dam, a steep hike into the deep vale(trekking poles advised - especially in wet weather, as it's very slippy!). There is a plethora of opportunities, beyond the classic twin falls (downstream from this spot). Only had half an hour to spare there this morning and I look forward to spending more time there during the autumn.
