Think very carefully before cropping this stunning image. The isolation of the lady and buggy is almost 3D

Interesting about the cropping and the woman and boy with the buggy.

I walked around the fayre last night and found it really difficult to get shots where all the people looked right - there's nearly always one or two who have to spoil it!

For me it's the boy staringly longingly at the carousel that makes it. I therefore wonder if it's more powerful with the other rides cropped off on the left and a bit of careful cloning out of the barriers.

Perhaps it would be more enigmatic if they were the only people in the scene. However, I don't think I've enough shots (taken on a tripod) to compose that. I must learn to be more patient and stay longer and take more shots. I can then subtract people later if they're not playing their part!

Ah, I've just found I do have enough shots to eliminate the other people. I think it works better without them. Is there a way of updating the Gallery photo?

I've tried cropping a bit off the bottom and am undecided. I quite like the pavement detail and I think cropping may position the woman and boy too low and cramps their shadows. As it is, his head is exactly on the 1/3rd.
