Back in time

I recently spent three glorious days in North Wales specifically to photograph the narrow gauge railways which are a major feature in the Welsh tourist industry. The first two days were at the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Welsh Highland Railway and my activity ranged between Caernarfon and the station at Rhyd Ddu, near the summit of the line. The Ffestiniog Railway's 19th century little saddle tank engine 'Palmerston' was one of the engines pulling tourist trains. Here's its coming through the bridge at Waunfawr on its way to Ryd Ddu on July 30.

Great lens, "wielded" expertly. A fine capture. Like.
