Found in the bird bath this morning.

I don't know the dynamics of these things. However, you can clearly see the channel up the middle through which the liquid water was either forced upwards or crept by capillary action. It's sort of like a reverse icicle - or should it be icigle in this case? It was about 6cm tall.
K1 with an A series 50mm macro.

Excellent photo and description I wish I had had the for site to photograph something similar in a bucket of water/ice the other day. Very strange to see an icicle growing upwards
