Turntable line up
by davidtrout
A vintage photo taken by me on a Kodak Box Brownie when I was a kid....and recently copied from the original print struck in an album, again by me, on a K30.
The original dates from the late 1950s and shows dock shunting engines used at Leith Docks parked around a turntable at St Margaret's engine sheds in Edinburgh. The engines date from 1882 through to 1900 and were still in use more than half a century later. Unfortunately my Box Brownie didn't have such a long working life.
The sepia treatment has been added in Photoshop. The original is still good old black and white.

That's brilliant! Why not try sending it to The Railway Magazine with the explanation?

Good idea Paul. I'll give it a try first with Heritage Railway.

Love this. What a clear shot from such an antiquated camera. Very impressive.

Terrific David! You obviously already had a good idea as a kid (and an interest/ obsession(?) with trains!). The sepia works well

An interest/obsession with cameras too, I might add!
Cheers...Donna 😊
