In the Blink of an Eye - Photo Impressionism #3

by Wildwood512

So small and dependent our children grow before our eyes and are all too soon ready to spread their wings and fly.

At a recent friend's wedding, my flash could not keep up with my snapping and this blurred photo was created. In this photo, as the Father of the Bride dances with his grown daughter, it brings to mind the passage of time in a relationship between parent and child. It is indeed a whirlwind, a blur of images, as if in the blink of an eye a daughter becomes a woman from a child.

To me it has an eerie quality, a slightly sad feel,

Hi Donna - where you been?
This is a very interesting one and pertinent too as I've given three of them away.
They do grow up so fast and now they fuss around me and tell me off. Odd how the tables turn.

Hi everyone....thank you for commenting, it is much appreciated☺️

I too am awestruck at how wonderful the blurred photos turned out in this wedding series of artistic impressionism. I'm going to play around with this technique and try to create these types of images ON PURPOSE instead of by mistake! We'll see what we come up with!

Hey David....thanks for missing me! 😁
I have been busy with work and family schedules that took presedence with my time. Missed posting and viewing on PUG and will be as active as my time allows! 😉
Cheers...Donna 😊

My daughter to be married next July. Evokes my projected sadness at "losing a daughter but gaining a son".
Please keep working on creating a result versus "happy accident" image making - happy you saw the result for its inate beauty. One of your best images I've seen on this site - thanks, T
