Teasles by the Thames at Kelmscott taken with the DAL 18-55 kit lens.
I've learnt my lesson and used the K-r today on Av and stopped the lens down to f/8 hoping to overcome my previous disappointment with this lens !
I am now much happier !
RAW image developed in PDCU4.
I cropped out some extraneous foliage to the left but left it full height as I liked the reflections in the river.

Many thanks for the comments.
To tell the truth I hadn't noticed the far bank and reflections when I took the shot - I was more keen not to cut off the top of the straggly stem (without a teasle). I therefore kept it in for that reason. However, I did also like the reflection !
I did not zoom out to include the base of the plant and the near bank as there was a lot of very messy vegetation there.
Sometimes, to show it 'as it is' means a bit of compromise and I did not want to spoil 'nature' by breaking off the straggler or cutting back the undergrowth.
That said - I agree it would have been better with a dark line at the BOTTOM ! c'est la vie !
