Collarette Dahlia (Dahlia Hootenanny; aka 'Swan Island')

A comparatively recent introduction (2005), I first encountered this arresting cultivar during an Open Garden Day visit to the Old Mill, Ramsbury Wilts., (a glorious garden in a riverside setting that is well worth a visit, should the opportunity arise). It proved an ideal subject for a then recently acquired, second-user copy of the Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC (this one: link ).
