Heron close up
by Coriander
Heron taken with a K100D attached to a 2000mm focal length Meade telescope. Equivalent to f19 and shutter was 125sec. My first outing with the 'scope. Distance to subject was about 75yds!

What Digiscope attachment did you use, I have an Opticron scope but have not found a suitable attachment for my K10D yet?

Technoblurb,
I used a bayonet fit T-mount that presents the 42mm universal thread and attached to this is a telescope adaptor that fits a 1.25" eyepiece on the telescope. The telescope adaptor is nothing more than a tube of metal with a 42mm thread at one end to screw into the T-mount and then a 1.25" barrel at the other to slot into the eyepiece holder on the scope. The adaptor should also allow you to put in an eyepiece to get higher magnifications but this becomes impractical because of the light loss and the difficulty of getting accurate focus.
Cheers.
