I thought PENTAX lenses were 'Super Multicoated'! Did you use a SIGMA?:

no, a cheap unbranded 28mm prime off ebay for £1.50 - its much nicer than the kit lens to me- however, just today received a pentax 16-45 which seems to be quite nice !
