Seasonal Bird

by malfis

I shot this image with the K3iii and Sigma 100-300mm f4 APO EX DG lens.
Camera settings were 1/800th @ f5.6, ISO 800.
It was shot at 300mm, but using the 1.3 crop - so 600mm in ff terms.
It's a large crop - I ran it through Topaz Photo AI and increased the resolution by 2x.

No a great artistic photograph, but I thought the light was good, and the settings were interesting.

Looks very good, that Topaz AI works well, did you see a massive difference to the original?

Not a lot of difference, but the original image was decent quality, with negligible noise.
The original image out of the camera was 15 mb, I cropped it to 4.3 mb and then resized it in Topaz to 17 mb.
I use Topaz AI quite a lot and find it really good.
Lots of gear - but not a lot of idea!

English Robins so much better-looking than our Canadian version. The light here is just right, and this image deserves to be seen at large size. Like.
