Acorns

I found this bunch of acorns broken off a tree and I put them to one side to do some close up shots later. They were green when I collected them, however, they separated from their cups and gradually darkened and changed to this colour which I thought was particularly more attractive to photograph.

That is a very satisfying composition with some wonderful rich colours.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

I feel this is the better of the two also! In fact, it is a magificent shot!
