CH-53G

by 1stEverPentax

German Air Force heavy lift helicopter CH-53G seen departing RIAT on monday.

These helicopters are based on the CH-53D Sea Stallion originally designed for the USMC.

The German Air Force is the only European operator of these helicopters.

This example is operated by HSG 64 out of Laupheim Air Base.

Another great photo of a chopper I love.... especially the MH53 Pave Low version of this monster, used to love seeing them at Mildenhall Air Fete. Sadly it will soon be no more...

Oh hell yes! Big powerful thing!

I have a slide somewhere with 2 MH53 Pave Lows in formation with an MC130E Combat Talon
