Never had one...had an Anglia that used to get a bit lively on sharp bends, then i jumped to the MKII Escort...the special edition 'Harrier'...white with contrasting 'Go Faster' stripes which was a lot nicer to drive.
I was definitely 'Ford' rather than 'Vauxhall' !

I would love a Mk1 Escort... especially a Mexico!!!
