Leave aside the fact that they actually did it, I find it amazing that the architects could even envision the wonders they created
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thank you for all the kind comments. I did toy with changing the lens to the 16-50mm but it was a quite humid day.

I am always impressed with the quality of images taken with the 18-270 and posted on this site. Skillful photographers for sure but there's nothing wrong with that glass.

Great work, indeed, Stan.
The EXIF says 1.3 sec - did you use a tripod or how else did you keep still that long ?

Used a tripod Peter (never travel without one these days as it has other auxillary functions, walking stick etc)
