Another Happy Couple

This was actually taken just less than 100 meters from that other shot of mine - the winter one. I love this part of town - it's so visually stunning.
This was taken with my 100mm Macro. It's awesome at extreme close distances, but I wanted to see how it fared at medium distances. The detail in this shot was commendable.

The background does draw focus to the couple, but in my opinion there is too much of it. I would have preferred a much tighter crop on the left hand side, so that the parts of the tree in the foreground are removed. Cropping a little from the top would then help to restore balance.

I think Steve is right. When the subject fills only a small part of the frame, the rest has to add something to the picture. In this case, I feel that it doesn't add enough to justify its inclusion.
