Towards The Castle

by davidstorm

Another shot from Conisbrough yesterday. You might have realised, I love the castle, it holds a lot of fond memories for me during my childhood as this town is where I was born and brought up. The castle was always at the centre of my fascination for the history of the place and I spent a lot of time playing in the grounds and in the castle itself, before it was a tourist attraction.

For this shot, I waited a few minutes for the dark clouds to come across and for the directional sun to light up the castle stone. Shot with the K-3 and the amazing DA*50-135 zoom.

Great piece of personal history along with a terrific shot that captures the tourism direction this attraction has taken!
Cheers...Donna 😊

If that DA is anything like the 'stack of primes' A series then it must be good. Nice timing with the clouds.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass
