Grosmont, NYMR

Photo Information
I processed two versions of this five shot, hand-held, HDR and selected the least painterly of the two to post here! Still not sure whether it has worked or not.
The last time I stood in this position it was A4 60007, Sir Nigel Gresley, that filled the viewfinder! Class 37 37264 came on shed for some light maintenance while I was standing there this time and thus I thought I would try for the same effect. Didn't work quite as well but I'm reasonably pleased with the shot.
Apparently I'm the NYMR's longest serving non-UK based member - about 34 years I believe!
K-5/Tamron 28-300mm.

I'm curious to see what happened when it went over the ash pit?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Aha...I like that. A lot. Yet to try handholding a fiver - usually just go with three! Shaky hands Nicely done.

There is quite a contrast when coming from your previous LX b&w shot to this one. Remarkable clarity and microcontrast. Well done!
