Yellow Dahlia

This dahlia is almost perfect except where some little critter took a nip out of one petal. I just love how nature has managed to make the dahlia almost perfectly symmetrical. And its yellow petals radiate out from the center like rays from the sun. I tried to capture the feeling of the sun by taking the shot directly head on.

Beautiful effect and I quite like the munched petal...it toys with my perfectionism in a good redeeming sort of way! 😊
