Yellow Crested Amazon

Photo Information
A portrait from yesterday's trip to Birdworld. The weather was terrible and so were most of my shots, but this is one of the few I am reasonably pleased with, although I had to make a few adjustments in PP

Thanks folks. I've been playing around with a B/W version of this as well which I rather like although it seems sacreligeous to remove those colours...

Cheers

Mat I meant to ask what lens do you use or what do you recommend as I have been looking at the 50-135 DA* amongst others Thanks Brian

This was taken with the Pentax DA*300, which I use a lot and find a bit of a wonder. The 50-135 is a fantastic lens too, although if you want to take shots of birds or small critters, you would need to get really close (normally very difficult) to get a frame-filling shot. I also have a sigma 100-300 f4 and that is also a great lens, and sharp, with the added bonus that you can zoom back for those occasions when you do get really close
