Sunset, Sand and Swell

by davesexton

If I were to make a resolution for the new year, it would be to stop posting photos of the beach! However, here’s another that I caught this afternoon. Pentax K-r with Tamron 10-24mm lens set to 15mm. Exposure was 0.6s at f/29 using a sensitivity of ISO100. I have travel to Montreal, South Africa and, closer to home, North Wales coming up soon… hopefully, this will yield a little variation in my posts

The way you have caught the sun highlighing the cloud there makes it for me a stunning shot indeed

From one beach shot addict to another - stunning!

My New Year's resolution to spend more time in different places lasted 33 hours as I was on the beach by 9am on the 2nd of Jan

As beach shots go this is one of the best. You certainly don't need to be apologetic about posting it.

Have to admit I get really tired of seeing overdone (ND filter) cliched time exposure seascapes but in this case you have captured the motion & scene beautifully. The sunlight on the cumulonimbus cloud out at sea makes a good focal point and the causeway leads the eye into the picture....nice!
