What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
I have found it difficult to deal with scenes like this. Often the contrast ratio is very high, but you have got the balance right here, with good colour in the highlights as well as in the shadows.
