Photo Information
G-EBIR a DH.51 was produced in 1924. The third aircraft built, it was a 3 seat tourer with a range of 340 miles / 4 hours at 85mph and a top speed of 107mph.

This aircraft was exported to Nairobi in 1926 becoming the first aircraft on the Kenyan Registry ...'Miss Kenya' (VP-KAA).

In 1965 the aircraft was flown back to England in an RAF transport aircraft and ended up at Hawker Siddeley Aviation at Hawarden, Chester where it was re-built before being handed over to the Shuttleworth Trust at Old Warden where it remains today. In 2011 it was repainted in its current scheme for film and TV work.
