Teardrop

Photo Information
05-06-2011: "Teardrop"
Why: Wife had been clearing the cupboards and left a white bowl out. Liked the look of the curves that were produced as I rotated it on the work top, and decided to make an abstract with it.
How: Underexposed it so that only part of the bowl would be visible. Used a black sheet for the backdrop and used natural diffused backlight to pick out the rim. Rotated image through 90 degrees clockwise to look like a teardrop.
Tech: Pentax K10D, Tripod, 8 seconds, f16, 57mm lens.

That's so abstract that it's difficult to tell which way the bowl is facing! Love it!

Bowel
Surely you meant bowl?

It looks like a plane wing has been sliced and we are looking at it end on.
