Wiping Wheels
by pgweber
To finish off my trip to the West Somerset Railway in 2007, a last shot of a couple of engine cleaners at work on the wheels of Ex Southern Railway 4-6-0 No. 850 'Lord Nelson'.
To be honest I was not sure what they were actually doing. One had an oily rag and the other was dipping a paintbrush in a black solution and wiping it round the wheels.
Bet the shedmaster just said go out and look like you are doing something, for the tourists!
Shot on K10D/18-55 as jpeg.
