Frog on a Stick

Actually, he is on a reed. This is a Green Tree Frog, a little thing that is relatively common in the southeast U.S.

It will only grow to somewhere between 2 and 2.5 inches in length - think of your pinkie finger. The photo is about 3 times larger than life-size.

In this picture he (or she) was just hanging around on a slender reed along the edge of a small wetlands pond at the Brazoria Wildlife Preserve along the Texas Gulf Coast.
