What a lovely looking loco the Warships where compared to the modern day stuff, although back in my spotting days we hated all diesels as they where pushing out steam locos, just wish I had photographed them more now!. A really nice shot Andrew well captured.

That is a real nice record photo of the Warship locomotive. The Warships were really attractive engines. As a schoolboy, I used to spend time at Reading General, watching these new engines roar through. The Western Region experiment with diesel hydraulics seemed to be very short lived.
