Time for Poppies

by nonur

Picked outside home and shot indoors putting a cardboard bag behind. Cropped a bit and darkened enough to eliminate the refrection of light on the backdrop in Picasa.

I like colour contrast and the strange low angle of view. It's original this compo.

Nice texture on the petal undersides. I suggest that you try a blue bag or blue card as background. Since you are indoors you could afford to use a smaller aperture and longer exposure time to extend the field depth, assuming that your camera is tripod mounted.

Thank you both! No Colin, I shot it handheld in my small balcony with the side light, the tripod was in the car. Thank you for the suggestion.
