This is An amazing picture

Very good shot, I like it very much; nice colour and an interesting example of motion freeze photography. This would be a very useful image for a lecturer/tutor of workshop technology. It shows nicely that for a given rotational speed (RPM) the surface speed increases as you move out from the centre of rotation. This would show an apprentice turner that to achieve the same material cutting speed for larger diameters he/she would need to reduce the lathe RPM. Different metals and other materials, have different ideal surface cutting speeds to achieve good surface finish and efficiency. Probably none of this is of interest to you Nonur but if you wished to freeze the outer surface of the wheel you would need to use a much faster shutter speed. It would be interesting to take a series of photographs at various shutter speeds to see which parts of the spinning wheel become motion frozen. All related to 'Circumference =2 x Pie x R'.
