The cascade

The water level in the man-made lake in Grovelands Park is controlled by a sluice gate on the Eastern side. The excess runs away down the hillside through this cascade to a small stream below.
I have a feeling the park was a Capability Brown job, so there were lots of earthworks to form the lake, but I need to check
