Red faced duck or goose

Hi. I believe it is a Muscovy duck and according to the incyclopedia it is an American perching duck, we have one at our local pond and it will eat out of your hand

Thank you that was what I thought but wondered what it was doing on a village pond, must have escaped along with about 3 others.
