Distant Wife

My favourite image (so far) from our short trip to the Lakes. It's my favourite for several reasons, 1) it has my wife in it (that's unusual for me), 2) the view, 3) it shows why I love my Pentax-M 28mm F3.5 so much. This lens is superb at rendering colours and also has great edge to edge sharpness, both of which I think are evident in this image.

I can understand this being your favourite, the content is fab, love that muddy foreground and the mist over the hills + the Autumnal tones.

Hi Andy, no, actually I didn't, my boots kept all of the water out, despite it being very boggy. I managed to walk on the highest bits and the rocks that were sticking out!

The placement of the figure makes a good landscape into a great landscape for me David. Its got everything going for it, well captured. Liked
