A Wintery City Walls Road
I was going for a blown highlight style vintage effect for this shot which I think works well with the snow-capped street. Almost a Victorian feel, with the street sign being the only giveaway to the era which I think creates a bit of a juxtaposition.
I was also feeling a little adventurous with this shot. Taken in manual mode and set to black and white jpeg. The only post processing I did was to correct a bit of barrel distortion which is inherent on the Q. I wanted to see if I could get 'in camera' the look I was after.

Great simplicity is only won by an intense moment or by years of intelligent effort. T.S Eliot

A wonderful wintry scene, i have never thought to use in camera effects but i'm sure i will now.
Just to make clear what I did here if anyone wants to try it for themselves, the only effect 'in camera' that I made use of for this shot was to simply have it in black and white mode. The main contributor to the look and feel of this shot I would say is down to the exposure used. I over exposed this to blow out the highlights somewhat.
