Nice one. That and other models over the years are so "TRIUMPH" around the engine dept. With your photo of the Norton I asked if you had any of Triumphs? This is what you come up with
When I worked for a living I visited the new "BLOOR" Triumph factory to sell a machine and at that time the Triumph engineers visited the Kawasaki factory in Japan to learn a little about modern bike building. So it went full circle.

Original contrast between two different "devices": wind back (sailor)front-wind the motorbike...even if "bowline" is a way to sail "almost against wind"....
