Mam Tor

by sandinista

Taken from atop Mam Tor on a very very cold and frosty morning today. The road runs through mam Nick which seperates the two ridges. Steeped in history dating back to the bronze age, the hill is also an amazing example of geology and it is still visually possible to see it shaping itself today.

Don't think 11/10 does this justice. Exquisite in every way. Can you still get a decent pint of Robinson's in nearby Castleton?

Super landscape, Jim, full of drama.
Best wishes,

Beautiful work! A bit different from the sunny summer's day when I last walked it. I think that ridge walk is one of the most memorable I have done anywhere.

Best wishes,

Superb capture and detail! It has a tangible quality and invites us to step inside for a wander along the snaking path. The puddle of light on its flank adds an optimistic 'warmth' to the moody winter atmosphere.

You and Shaun seem to be vying for top(landscape)dog at the moment. With quality like this from you both who cares who wins!
