Mersey Gateway both sides now November 2019


Photo Information
I have often photographed this bridge from its Western side since construction started until its opening in 2017. The Transpennine trail beside the St Helens Canal crosses beneath the bridge but was closed to all but construction traffic until a couple of months ago. Now that it is open it is possible to pass beneath and to photograph it from both sides.

Thank you too, davidwozhere. I've waited more than two years for the footpath below the bridge to reopen. I took photos from about six viewpoints today to celebrate and to ensure that I came away with something to justify the wait.
