Emerald Green

Photo of the Week by GIULIO57

Not the first time in front of it. Not the last for sure. Shapes, lines, colours. The magical mix of this place in spring. Many times in front of this scenery but that day captivating light and colours drove me to try an effort again. Camera on tripod. PENTAX Zoom lens 18-55mm at 18mm.
Please: can anyone explain to me what is happening in Pentax Photo Gallery? I sent a picture more that one ya…it is still on pending approval; I sent a message to PPG a few weeks ago. No reply. Is all still in order?

Beautiful - I love the spacing of the trees up the road.

One day I'll get a great shot like this, then maybe I'll get POW. Great picture.

Thank you for your honesty and words....However this is not a great shot.....just this morning this picture has been declined by1x gallery! After 73 views(only) and a zig-zag share: 44% then 42...then 41...then 39...then 40%.....What a strange place that gallery! So this means that my picture is almost s..t!
You have a lot of beautiful locations in Swiss. Many times I've been there (even in Herrbrugg at LEICA HQ the company I worked with...)....You have stunning landscapes. Shame I've never been in winter...with snow
Anyway I was surprised by this POTW...unexpected and honestly speaking I prefer reading cmts (even bad ones) rather than taking pictures to get prizes (this is a bad downhill due to the internet)

Interesting choice to place the two cypress trees in the centre of the frame but, the composition works. I'm also liking the strong saturated colours. Congratulations on POTW.

Thank you I was very lucky that day. In the morning it was raining...in the early afternoon sun warmed up everything and a beautiful sky with clouds appeared. A gentle cold wind kept a clean air.....Light was brillant and I took several pics changing speed time only. I choosed the 1/3 underexposed. I'm still a fan of color slides and in the past 1/3 underexp. was the trick to get almost saturated results.....or pola filter.....I have always preferred a little bit of underexposure. See black shadows under grass in foreground. It is the underexp effect: I don't like it but it is normal (even due to sun position at that hour).
