It’s a lovely scene with bags of potential, I’m intrigued though as to why the picture has been so heavily processed, what am I missing?

Hello.
I wanted to sharpen, increase definition, bring out the cloud structures, and decrease noise. And differenciate more the patches of light.
The original lacked relief and „weight”.
