Levitating Tree

by MikeInDevon

Today on one of our regular Mutt Walks, Irene said to me 'Look at that tree!" This is what she'd seen, so just had to photograph it.

Somehow the trunk had snapped, you can make out the lower part of the tree to the left and some way behind and out of focus. So how was it hanging there? High up it's top was snagged and caught by another tree which held it suspended aloft. It all looks very unstable to me.

Using my old ailing, failing K50 with excellent FA 50mm f1.4 lens at f2.0. Post processed using DxO.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Hang in There". Nice.
