It looks like the only pedestrians are trapped by the traffic, it works well for me.
I would crop out that distraction on the bottom LHS though.

I think that's terrific as it is, Andy. A couple of days earlier I tried a similar thing from the other end of Regent Street... but omitted to take a tripod. I was thus restricted to hand-held shots at 1/6 or so, none of which really had the desired effect of capturing London's Christmas bustle...
