Alemanno 2

Original BW negative film scanned using Epson Perfection 3200. SINGLE BW frame processed in Photomatix-TONEMAPPED and then in Alien Skin BW film Low Contrast (grain off); trying to get same result as original photo printed on paper. Kodak Film T-MAX 400 printed on ILFORD RC Multigrade IV paper (SATIN type). Used original developer(s) to process film and paper in traditional darkroom. Hand-held PENTAX LX camera and Pentax Zoom lens 40-80mm set at 80mm. Manual focusing. Manual exposure. F: 2,8. Shutter Speed:1/250sec. (Light Yellow filter in front of lens). Date: Oct.10th,2010.Place:Umbria-Italy.PS Cat’s name is Alemanno.

Superb! You have really done some very interesting PP with this image. For me it reassembles what one can achieve when scanning good photographic prints. Thank you for sharing your techniques!

Hi,
excellent scan.! Better yet I'm thrilled with the name of the kitties! Heh, heh ... owner probably had a poor experience leaves the (first half of 20th century) past!??

Thx for your words....About name...I gave this name to my cat for a nice idea of my mother...but it has nothing to match with the real meaning of this word (that is "German" or "from Germany")....

Just like my daughters recent cat (victim to a car). Black cats are so difficult to get right. Doing it with film is quite a skill, and has given something that digital struggles to emulate. Excellent photograph.
