This is a sequence (continuous shut). 3 images from left to right. Note how the halo changes his intensity accord to the cloud density.

The images were taken this morning (especially for upload to the Pentax User Photo Gallery).

I found this site Atmospheric Optics which has good info (and Pics) on these and many other atmospheric phenomina
