Very striking - normally I would comment that the background is a bit under-exposed, but in this image it is done purposefully and to devastating effect.

It's a fantastic shot and very different to what is normally seen in the Gallery.

wow - have seen pics of this spot where the water level was higher and where you could only see the sinking water but this one is even better
