Rechtstraat, Maastricht

I posted a bunch of shots from a recent night shoot in Maastricht on Facebook and this one seemed to be the most popular. Rechtstraat is a delightful street in the Wijk district of Maastricht, on the east bank of the River Maas, comprising interesting shops and a number of excellent restaurants. Very costly real estate no doubt!
Unfortunately a car's headlights dug furrows in the cobblestones but I don't think it takes too much away from the overall scene.
On returning to the parking garage I discovered that my car, and others, had been broken into! Luckily, there was nothing inside that was worth stealing! Nevertheless, an unpleasant end to a pleasant evening.

One of my favourite cities. His Nibs worked in Beek for many years. Great photo, such a shame your evening ended so badly.

Maastricht is a lovely old city, I visited briefly many years ago. This image captures the atmosphere well and I don't think the 'furrows' in the cobbles detracts too much.
