ICM - Monsal Dale

by PaulEvans

A damp day in the Peak District with flat light, so decided to try some ICM shots. This is one of the results.

A great result, can you remember if you moved up and down, backward and forward or left and right?

Love it. A bit more contrast for me though.

Great example of ICM. Colour tones? I like them a lot.

Thanks for the feedback all - much appreciated. Responses - moved the camera (hand held) vertically up to down. ISO 160 f18 at 0.4 sec, 45mm end of my 16-45 zoom. Looks like I stopped the camera at the bottom of the pan so there is a mix of ICM and normal still shot. Bet I couldn't do it again if I tried .
ICM - Intentional Camera Movement (while the shutter is open).
Contrast - entirely personal taste, I wanted a misty muted image so I kept it low. Histogram only uses the lower half of the available dynamic range. As a rule ICM shots will tend to have lower contrast.
Cheers
Paul
