Foggy Thames Barrier

by Mag07

Probably my favourite structure in the city .... Thames Barrier is one of the largest, movable flood barriers in the world.

Mags, you've captured this structure beautifully...lovely lighting and composition. The fog creates quite the mood and the reflections adds a nice dimension.

What is it?
Cheers...Donna 😊

Thank you done. Wanted to catch it in the fog for quite some time now. It's a 30 minut drive from where I am and since the weather is very 'obliging' this autumn, thought I'd make the effort Thames barrier is a movable flood barrier. Apparently one of the largest in the world, and most definitely the 'prettiest'. Amazing piece of engineering and a lovely and popular subject for photographers.

Lovely atmospheric shot Mags and very different to anything else I've seen of the Thames barrier.

It's not what it used to be. Or maybe I changed. Who knows. It feels like it's loosing it's soul a bit... It's there; some people are trying to squish it And we are not sure yet. Most likely Middle East.
