Cracking shot and a shutter speed of about 1/3000sec if my maths is correct. That lens must be fast, what is it?

Great timing and great focus. Birds in flight are so difficult to capture sharp. Check out my own attempt, uploaded a couple of days ago.

Not a fast lens. My Sigma 150-500mm F5-6.3 @ 290mm, F8, 800 ISO, 1/3000 sec.

Nice capture. Smaller birds are tough to get in focus, especially when relatively close. This Tern is a small bird that darts around quickly. No other photographers were even trying to catch it. After getting frustrated trying to track it at 500mm I backed off to the 290mm used here.
