Another Bee Fly

A few years ago these were very rare visitors in our garden, but now we seem to get them quite a few. The Grape Hyacinths seem to be their favorite source of food.

They are deceptively tricky to photograph, they hover motionless until the moment you press the shutter and they are gone! So well done to get this. Just today it occurred that I don’t remember seeing these as a child.
